Tela, Atlantida, is a small city located on the northern coast of Honduras. It is characterized by white sand beach, brilliant sunsets, colorful Garifuna villages and a rich heritage. Tela began to grow when an American company developed banana production in this region, adopted the city's name, and became the Tela Railroad Company, one of the largest companies in Honduras. Further development of the city came from the cultivation and exportation of Chiquita Bananas Brand.

Tela's surroundings feature natural and cultural elements of first order.
